When you can blindly find your way to the toilets no matter how piss drunk you are

when you have had atleast one major drunk incident at the pub and wouldn't be embarrassed to repeat it.

more often than not, you find yourself leavin the dance floor at Roxy to take a dip in Some Place Else

when after a point you get free red bulls with your JD

when the bartenders know you by your first name

when they know that its a cosmopolitan you would drink if you had the dough but otherwise would stick to kingfisher

when you have a chosen spot in the bar

when you start goin for Hip Pocket performances twice a week

when you start goin for Hip Pocket performances atleast 5 times a month.

when you stop listenin to classic rock at home so that you can keep your appetite fresh for the Hip Pockets gig.

when you have friends playing at SPE atleast 4 times in your life

You have been to atleast 3 of the Bob Dylan nights even tho its always been more or less the same

You dream of the time when you can be frivolous enough to buy all the music coasters on display

When you know you have run out of songs to request for

you get infuriated if they run out of pitchers and then happily settle for bottles... you give the bartenders a piece of your mind for it and then sit and laugh with them after 15 minutes of drinking the same

when you have a birthday mini party in there and find yourself sharing cake with random strangers

when you know people by their faces because they are just as badly in love with the place.

you crib about the fact that the Hip Pockets playlist hasn't changed in the last decade still head bang away to glory every wednesday and friday.

you are type who prefers Calcutta over Kolkata.


when you know the cabbies outside the park. or have a regular cabbie for your ride back home.

when you end up going there by yourself. and then meet a hundred other people you know.

when you live away from calcutta, you find yourself missing the bustle of some place rather than your room.
