Skinny Alley live at Someplace Else

Skinny Alley is a band comprising some of India's most experienced and versatile musicians, each of whom brings a wealth of experience that contributes richly to the sound of the band. Each member has performed in several bands all over the country and outside, playing music that spans many decades and even more styles, ranging from rock and roll to reggae, from funk to fusion, and from jazz-inflected pop to the blues. The band has played to diverse crowds, from college campuses to plush clubs and from coffee-houses to football stadiums, to a gangster-family wedding on a shady rooftop. The original music of Skinny Alley reflects all of this; incorporating the maturity, the skills, the influences and the experience of the five musicians. This is a new sound and we believe that it is here to stay.......

The Doors - Tribute by Insomnia...live at Someplace Else

The Doors were an American rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles by vocalist Jim Morrison, keyboardist Ray Manzarek, drummer John Densmore, and guitarist Robby Krieger. The Doors' music was a fusion of psychedelic rock, hard rock, blues-rock, and acid rock. They were considered a controversial band, due mostly to Morrison's cryptic lyrics and unpredictable stage persona. The Lizard King....Jim Morrison is best known as the lead singer and lyricist of The Doors and is widely considered to be one of the most charismatic frontmen in rock music history.Catch Best of Mr. Morrison and The Doors performed live by INSOMNIA at

Gary Lawyer with Hip Pocket - March 15, 2008

Gary Lawyer was back in Kolkata at Someplace Else on Saturday, March 15th, for an evening with Hip Pocket. Nandan & Co. kicked off the evening around 10:15pm, with a crowd waiting eagerly for Gary to take the stage. Hip Pocket played their routine gig till about 11pm, when Gary - dressed in black and looking dapper as always - walked in to thunderous applause.

The evening from then on was a showcase of versatility and energy, both from the veterans on stage as well as the crowd, who simply loved every moment of the show. Gary being the great frontman that he is, kept the crowd involved till the last number, and then some more...

Hope you hv fun, & feel free to leave ur comments...

Cheerz!
SG.
